John McGuire, Architect
Architecture & Urban Design
Challenge - Folsom Lake College had a growing performing arts program and needed a home for performing arts students and faculty and a regional venue for over 50 performing arts groups.
John McGuire, as Principal of the Education Studio at LPAS and working closely with The Shalleck Collaborative, designed a project that showcases an exquisite 150-seat recital hall, a 200-seat studio theatre, and an 850-seat proscenium theatre–with a full fly tower and orchestra pit. In addition to these worldclass performance spaces, John’s design includes a range of spaces where students learn the performing arts.
