John McGuire, Architect, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C provides design, planning.and practice leadership for projects around the world. He is recognized for his expertise, his deep understanding and sensitivity to programmatically complex issues, his ability to navigate among multiple stakeholders, and his ability to promote contextually and environmentally responsive works of architecture that are acclaimed by clients, user groups, and review committees. John uses his expertise as an architect and educator to guide clients and stakeholders to create inspirational projects which enhance their institutions, positively
affect human experience, and enrich quality-of-life.
John McGuire brings a rich and extensive design and planning experience to science and education projects. Numerous completed projects for research and higher education clients include: the University of California, San Francisco; University of California, Davis; UC Davis Health System; University of Oregon; University of Pennsylvania; National Oceanic and Atmospheric Agency; and the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute. In addition to his design work, John taught as a tenured professor of architecture and created and directed architectural study abroad programs in Edinburgh, Scotland and Florence, Italy.
